What is the usual battery life of the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi?

I ordered the Canon XTi and I was wondering how long the battery lasts..the one that comes with the camera

You should get at least 300 plus shots.

gator is right … Li-ion batteries can last well over 300 shots. Some cameras can shoot up to 1000 shots on one charge (like the Nikon D300)

The life of the battery should be five years or so.
