I am considering buying a new Digital SLR camera. I have been leaning towards the Rebel XTi becasue I have the original film Rebel with a Sigma 35-135mm/3.5-4.5 lense that I am hoping will work with the new camera. Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated

When I turn the camera on, the screen shows the menu screen. How do I make it show what the camera is seeing (instead of looking through the viewfinder)? What do I press? Plus, I don’t think this shoots video, but does anyone know if it does?
